PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPIST / CLINIC DIRECTOR

Dr. Kristin Kennedy is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy who believes that healing begins when patients feel seen, heard, and truly understood. She brings a whole-body, compassionate lens to pelvic health, specializing in hypermobility spectrum disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, endometriosis, and the pregnant and postpartum experience. Her approach blends clinical expertise with lived experience and a deep respect for each patient's story.
Kristin’s path into pelvic health began well before PT school. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in Biobehavioral Health, she worked in a lymphedema clinic where she got her first exposure to the world of women’s health. During that time, she recognized signs of lymphedema in her own grandmother, symptoms that had previously gone undiagnosed, and helped her get the care she needed. That experience showed Kristin the power of paying attention, trusting your instincts, and advocating for those you love.
Motivated by that experience, Kristin went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. While in school, she received a scholarship jointly from Intimate Rose, a pelvic health product and education company founded by Dr. Amanda Olson, and the team behind @mypelvicfloormuscles, a well-known pelvic health education platform focused on accessible, evidence-based care. The scholarship funded Kristin’s first pelvic health course and helped her discover that pelvic health was not just an interest, but a calling. She later contributed to Intimate Rose by writing blog posts while still a student, furthering her commitment to making pelvic health approachable and inclusive.
As she gained clinical experience, Kristin noticed a common thread among many of her patients. People were coming to her with joint instability, persistent pain, and symptoms that had not been fully understood elsewhere. Her curiosity about hypermobility grew, and over time, she realized she was hypermobile herself. This insight gave her deeper empathy and has continued to shape her whole-person approach to care.
Kristin has advanced training in pelvic health through the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (APTA) and the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is passionate about helping patients return to the movements and routines that bring them joy, whether that means lifting weights, running, or simply feeling more stable and at ease in their bodies.
In addition to her clinical work, Kristin is the founder of PT Study Guide (@ptstudyguide), an educational platform she created during PT school to support fellow students with visual, easy-to-use resources. What started as a personal project has grown into a business that helps thousands of PT and PTA students across the country feel more prepared and confident.
At Wellest, Kristin combines her personal journey with clinical expertise to create a supportive, empowering environment for each patient. She listens closely, thinks holistically, and works collaboratively to help people move forward in their healing with confidence.
